Small PDF: Great Service Comes in a Small Package
Recently discovered Smallpdf and I am very much satisfied with their service. This prompted me to write the following article. I hope you may find the content helpful.
It’s been among my goals to publish my own eBook and was glad that I was able to accomplish this goal with the help of Canva. After carefully outlining, setting the text and images, I was able to download a PDF file of newly created eBook. I love Canva because of the freedom we can do with the document and the wide availability of images and design templates which we can use for the project.
However, I encountered a minor issue since the eBook was divided into several documents. This is because free Canva allows only 30 pages for one eBook and I need to create separate contents. Another issue encountered was the frequent stalling as I add more pages to the content. So I decided not to maximize the 30-page setting for Canva. All-in-all, I had 3 separate PDF documents for my eBook.
What is PDF?
Portable Document Profile or PDF is a file format developed by Adobe in the 1990s to present documents, including text formatting and images in a manner independent of application software, hardware, and operating system.
Although eBook is another file format, when we see eBook download online, we would oftentimes get a PDF file.
We can use another platform to convert PDF file to an ePub Ebook format. But for this article, we will be talking about merging separate PDf file into one whole document.
What is SmallPDF?
SmallPDF is a product of Switzerland: the land of watches, banks, clean design, and high-quality workmanship. As per tradition, they craft their product to be reliable, secure and simple to use.
I heard about the site while I was making a research on how I could create an eBook. I watched a YouTube Video created by Jason Whaling and became interested in trying out the app.
The Process:
The process was simple and fast. I don’t even have to create an account. While on the site, I clicked on merge PDF file option and uploaded my saved files to the site. I don’t need to wait for long as everything was processed in a speedy manner. I downloaded the merged file and yes, my eBoook is ready for uploading in my own blog site.
